Our volunteers are awesome! Thank you to all who serve at FBC Allen.

If you're looking to join in, let us know more about you and we will connect you with a place of service.

Current NEEDS

Here is a list of the needs highlighted at our Ministry Fair:

ONGOING Opportunities

PRESCHOOL/CHILDREN/STUDENT MINISTRIES: Sunday Mornings and Wednesday Evenings

Lots of opportunities to serve are available in these ministries. Share your areas of interest and we will work with you to find a good match.

Our Cornerstone Ministry has adopted Boyd and Rountree Elementary Schools. Both schools have a combined total of about 1,200 students. Approximately 65% of these students live below the poverty level. A collection bin for clothing and school supply donations is located in Building E, and cash donations are accepted in the church office during the week.

During the summer, our Cornerstone Ministry provides lunches and activities for one week and our Children's Ministry hosts another week during the Boyd Elementary Summer Lunch Program.

A surprising number of children who attend Allen schools are at risk of not having enough food to eat on weekends. Food for Kids supplies a backpack filled with nutritious, kid-friendly food for the weekend to a child who has been identified as “food insecure.” Volunteers shop for foods, pack backpacks, and/or deliver them to the schools who participate in this program.

FOOD PANTRY (Volunteers & Donations Welcome)

Our Food Pantry distributes food and household items to residents of Allen, Fairview, and Lucas who lack the resources to maintain a healthy life. Collection bins are located around the campus or you can bring donations to the church office.

We are currently collecting these items:
  -Hamburger Helper
-canned pasta (Ravioli, Spaghetti O's, etc)
  -pasta sides
  -canned chicken
  -grocery sacks (paper and plastic)

Volunteers help homebound members keep in touch. Many of our homebound live in their own homes, some live with family, while others live in senior living centers. All they need is a hug, a smile, and warm conversation at your convenience.

From time to time we need extra help in the office. If you have a bit of extra time during the workday, let us know and we'll put you on the list. We'll give you a call when special projects come up.
