RESOURCES FOR STUDENTS & PARENTS
Looking for something specific? I'm here to help. Let me know what you need and I'll find a resource for you.
...we haven’t stopped praying for you. We are asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God
— Colossians 1:9-10
Our prayer is that we foster a community where students are sent confidently into the world as a developing follower of Christ who knows the love, hope, and purpose that God has given to all people. We do this through the partnership with parents by walking alongside students to connect with God, with others, and with their leaders.
For Middle School students (grades 7-8), our hope is that they will develop a faith that is their own in Jesus Christ.
For High School students (grades 9-12), our hope is that they own their faith daily through being obedient to God’s Word.
Student Ministries are led by adults who have been trained and who have undergone a criminal background check.
These adults have a desire to mentor students into fostering community, accountability, and friendship.
SUNDAY MORNINGS: Sundays | 9a or 10:30a | for students in grades 7-12
Small groups foster a healthy Christian community across our Student ministry. We gather every Sunday morning with the desire for students to own their faith, be challenged by God's Word, and to be encouraged by others.
MIDWEEK: Wednesdays | 7:00-7:55p | challenging students to live lives filled with love, hope, and purpose
MidWeek is a place for students in grades 7-12 to own their faith, live out their faith, and serve others.
LOVE: A place where you can belong, be real, and be loved.
HOPE: A place where you can find hope.
PURPOSE: A place where you can find your purpose and live it out.
Sunday morning and MidWeek small groups take place each week in The Curb (FBC Allen's Student Center). (map)
(meets during the school year):
ACTEENS/CHALLENGERS (Missions): Wednesdays | 6:00-6:55p | equipping students to go and make disciples
Acteens (for girls) and Challengers (for guys) focus on being mission-minded and challenge students to live out Acts 1:8, not only in foreign countries but in the communities in which they live. Challengers and Acteens meet on the second floor of The Curb (map).
YOUTH BIBLE DRILL & SPEAKERS: Sundays | 4-5p (Drill); 5-6p (Speakers) | Bible skills and memorization program
Youth Bible Drill helps students in grades 7-12 develop Bible skills and memorization and learn how to apply scripture to their lives. Speakers
