Music is important to our church family’s life. No matter your age, there is a place for you in the Music Ministry of FBC Allen. From singing in our Worship Choir or vocal ensemble to playing in a contemporary worship orchestra, you can participate in a variety of musical expressions of your love for God. See all our music ministry opportunities below.

Sunday Worship

Our Sunday morning worship services are about connecting individuals with God. The songs we use to collectively voice our expressions of praise and worship to Him are dynamic and heartfelt. We use both the newest worship songs of our day, as well as the time-honored hymns of our faith.  Our music, ranging from the celebrative to the meditative, is worship band and vocal team led, while on varied Sundays combines with an energized worship choir or contemporary orchestra.

Music and Missions (Preschool M and M's) allows preschoolers to sing and play instruments as they learn to worship and praise God through music. They are also introduced to the wonderful world of missions while developing compassion and growing in their knowledge of God’s work throughout the world. Preschool M and Ms for children ages 3 (by September 1 of the current year) to kindergarten meets on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. through the school year. For more information, contact Kathy Carpenter.

WAM Kids (Worship Arts Ministry) is for children in grades 1-6 that meets every week on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. during the school year. Our goal for WAM Kids is to guide children to come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior and become lifelong worshipers of God through worship arts. We'll do this by equipping kids to offer whatever talents, gifts, and skills they possess back to God as an act of worship. Each month children in grades 1-6 will rotate between art, instruments, creative movement, and choir. WAM Kids will learn the praise songs that are sung in worship throughout the year. Several times a year the WAM Kids will help lead in worship on Sunday morning. For more information, contact Kathy Carpenter.

Celebration Choir provides vocal worship leadership on Sundays throughout the year. Membership is open to all adults, college age and up. No audition is required. You don't have to know how to read music and you don't have to have a "solo" voice. You don't even have to have any prior experience. Our choir is made up mostly of people who just enjoy singing for the Lord. That’s right, “making a joyful noise”! Celebration Choir meets Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. in the Main Choir Room and is a great time of fellowship and spiritual refreshment.

Celebration Orchestra combines with the worship band to help lead worship on various Sundays throughout the fall and spring. Membership is open to high school band students through adults. An interview with the Minister of Music is required. For more information, contact Jeff Mize.

Cornerstone Choir is for our senior adults that meets on the first and third Mondays at 9:30 a.m. in the Main Choir Room. After a brief rehearsal, Cornerstone Choir travels to various local senior living centers throughout the year. No audition is required. You only need a smile to be part of this group. Check our calendar for seasonal breaks. For more information contact Jeff Mize.

Gospel Gathering is a bluegrass gospel music jam session that meets each Monday night at 7 p.m. in the Main Choir room. Bring a friend, your acoustic guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin or any stringed instrument and get in on the pickin’ and grinnin’. We also welcome folks who would like to just sing along or just come to listen. Come and give us a try as we “make a joyful noise.” Check our calendar for seasonal breaks. For more information contact Eddie Huckabee.
