Financial/Food/Medical Help

Financial/Food/Medical Help

Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.  ~ Galatians 6:2

First Baptist Church Allen has a number of programs to help those in financial distress below. In addition, if you have an emergency need, contact the Allen Community Outreach or if you find yourself in a shelter crisis, you can contact the Samaritan Inn.

Free Medical Clinic

FBC Allen is partnering with Clinic4Cities to provide free medical care and spiritual healing. At Clinic4Cities, adults and children can see the physicians for a wide array of medical tests, student physicals, and minor emergencies all free of charge. No insurance is required and no appointment is needed. All matters will be held in strict confidence. If you would like more information about medical services from the Free Medical Clinic, please contact Betsy Dawson or Cindy Harvey.

**NO DRUGS are stored or administered at this facility.**

Hours of Operation: Second Tuesday of each month: 5-7 p.m.

Location: The clinic is held at the Main Street Building, on the corner of Main Street  and Cedar Street. (click for map)

We Care Ministry

This ministry is designed to help individuals and families in our community in a time of crisis. It could be one of many situations, something personal or spiritual. Our counselors will pray with you and help you make life-changing decisions that will draw you closer to God. We will guide you and walk with you through your situation. All matters will be held in strict confidence. If you would like further information and to see if you qualify for monetary assistance from the We Care Ministry, please contact the church office at 972-727-8241. You may first need to contact the Allen Community Outreach and if you qualify, they will forward your information to us.

Food Pantry

The Food Pantry distributes food and household items to residents of Allen, Fairview, and Lucas who lack the resources to purchase the food supplies needed to maintain a healthy life. This is a "choice pantry" versus a "pre-bagged pantry," so we are able to meet an individual's nutritional needs as well as provide the foods they enjoy. One-time emergency assistance is offered, with continued assistance provided upon proof of residency and income.

Hours of Operation:

Sunday 4:00-5:30 p.m.
Tuesday 10:00-11:30 a.m.
Wednesday 6:00-7:30 p.m.

Location: Our Food Pantry is in Building D, on Cedar Street across from our Worship Center and Student Center. (click for map)

Current Needs: We are currently collecting these items:

  • canned chili
  • canned ravioli
  • Meal Helpers (pasta sides)
