Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.
— Psalm 127:3

The Children's Ministry seeks to provide children in Grades 1-6 with fun, engaging Bible-learning experiences that help them grow through following Jesus' example, loving others and taking their next steps with Christ.

Most children's activities take place on the second floor of our Children's Building (map). Volunteers are available at the Welcome Desk to assist you.

Your child's safety is at the forefront of our ministry.
Staff and volunteers who work in the Children's Ministries go through training and have undergone a criminal background check.

Sunday Mornings

BIBLE FELLOWSHIP GROUPS (BFGs): Sundays  |  9a or 10:30a | Bible study for children

Children in grades 1-6 follow "The Gospel Project" curriculum, a Christ-centered Bible study that follows a chronological timeline of Bible events. Each week, these stories come to life through videos, small group activities and more.

Wednesday Evening/Sunday Afternoons

(meets during the school year):

WAM KIDS: Wednesdays  |  6:00-6:30p | interactive worship arts

The goal for WAM Kids is to guide children to come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior and become lifelong worshipers of God through worship arts. Each week children in grades 1-6 rotate through art, instruments, creative movement, and choir. WAM Kids will learn the praise songs that are sung in worship throughout the year. Several times a year the WAM Kids will help lead in worship on Sunday morning. For more information, contact Kathy Carpenter

MISSIONS (GAs and RAs): Wednesdays  |  6:30-7:30p | awareness & application

Our missions programs encourage children to reach beyond themselves to see the needs of others and to develop compassion while growing in their knowledge of God’s work throughout the world. These mission classes are divided into Girls in Action (GAs) for girls and Royal Ambassadors (RAs) for boys. Please contact Lezah Maitland for more information about GAs or RAs.

BIBLE DRILL: Sundays  |  4-5p | Bible memorization

Children in Grades 1-6 develop Bible skills and memorization and learn how to apply scripture to their lives, helping them hide God's Word in their hearts. For more information about Bible Drill, please contact Dianne Gray.

DIVORCECARE for KIDS (DC4K): Sundays  |  4-6p | 13-week program to facilitate healing

DC4K helps children ages 6-12 heal from the hurt and pain of divorce and separation. We combine games, crafts, activities, music, and videos to create an inviting atmosphere where children feel comfortable and accepted. DC4K meets when DivorceCare is in session. For more information, contact Ellen Wood.

Additional Programs and Special Events:

NEW CHRISTIAN CLASS: discovery class for children who have recently made a decision to follow Christ

Parents are encouraged to enroll their children in this class as their next step in becoming a believer. Children will discover what it means to be a follower of Jesus; how to pray; to read God's word; the significance of baptism; and how to share their story of becoming a Christian. Classes are offered periodically throughout the year. For more information, contact Lezah Maitland.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: week-long day-camp held each summer - June 8-12, 2020

Children who have completed kindergarten through grade 5 learn about God's plan and love for us through music, recreation, Bible stories, games, crafts, and skits.

Preteens who have finished grade 6 are invited to bring their friends to XA Camp, a special 6th grade only evening VBS event.

Relive the wonder and excitement as Bible truths begin to take root.
